Abortion Law in the News

Abortion Law in the News

Friday, June 24, 2022, the Supreme Court issued a decision on the Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health case which overturned the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion across all 50 states. This recent decision does not make abortion illegal. The decision returns the responsibility of abortion laws to each respective state. It is no longer a federal law. Currently, the State of Illinois allows abortion on demand for any reason at any time. Parental Notification is not required.
